A Program in Wonders, frequently abbreviated as ACIM, is really a profound and significant religious text that emerged in the latter 50% of the 20th century. Comprising over 1,200 pages, that detailed work is not only a book but a complete program in spiritual change and internal healing. A Course in Miracles is unique in its approach to spirituality, pulling from various religious and metaphysical traditions to present a method of thought that seeks to cause individuals to a situation of inner peace, forgiveness, and awakening with their correct nature.

The sources of A Course in Miracles can be traced back once again to the venture between two people, Helen Schucman and William Thetford, equally of whom were distinguished psychologists and researchers. The course's inception occurred in the early 1960s when Schucman, who was a medical and study psychologist at Columbia Univers  ACIM  ity's School of Physicians and Surgeons, began to experience a series of inner dictations. She defined these dictations as via an interior style that identified it self as Jesus Christ. Schucman initially resisted these activities, but with Thetford's inspiration, she began transcribing the messages she received.

Over a period of seven decades, Schucman transcribed what would become A Course in Miracles, amounting to three sizes: the Text, the Workbook for Students, and the Manual for Teachers. The Text lays out the theoretical foundation of the course, elaborating on the key methods and principles. The Workbook for Students includes 365 lessons, one for every day of the season, designed to guide the reader through a daily practice of applying the course's teachings. The Information for Educators gives further advice on how to realize and show the axioms of A Program in Wonders to others.

One of the central themes of A Program in Wonders is the idea of forgiveness. The class teaches that true forgiveness is the main element to internal peace and awakening to one's heavenly nature. In accordance with their teachings, forgiveness is not only a moral or honest training but a basic shift in perception. It requires letting move of judgments, issues, and the notion of failure, and as an alternative, seeing the entire world and oneself through the contact of love and acceptance. A Program in Wonders highlights that true forgiveness results in the recognition that we are interconnected and that separation from one another is an illusion.
